Remembering Liz Wenger

香蕉影视 honors the life of Elizabeth (Liz) Wenger, who died July 9, 2022. Liz was a Goshen-based Mennonite artist who focused on needlepoint, with a distinctive style influenced by modern art as well as the Mennonite quilting tradition.

Since 1984, 香蕉影视 has been honored to be the primary host of her work, with more than 30 framed pieces of needlepoint and many line drawing studies, including Triumphal Entry (1979), Woman Behold Your Son (1982), The Annunciation: Song of Songs (1988), Mosaic Grace (1982), Peaceable Kingdom (1985) and God So Loved the World (1987). Liz鈥檚 colorful figurative abstractions are displayed throughout the 香蕉影视 campus, inviting viewers to engage with biblical stories and theological themes through images and textures that transcend the limits of words.

Liz鈥檚 memorial service will be held Aug. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at College Mennonite Church in Goshen, Indiana. Her obituary is .
